Dear Visitor and Parents
Colourwoods Montessori Kinderhaus was founded 6 years ago, as the first Bilingual Montessori Kinderhaus in 8126 Zumikon with a group of 6 children attending class.
Today we are a team of 2 qualified teachers plus 1 trainee. Max 25 children. The younger children can choose between attending 4 or 5 days a week, the older children 4+ must attend kindergarten everyday Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 08:30am – 15:00pm as required by the new Kindergarten Law in Kanton Zürich as of August 2008. Wednesdays Kinderhaus close’s at 12:00pm
The children learn in a warm and inviting atmosphere gently guided by the Montessori teacher’s. Close cooperation between teacher’s and parent’s create an important foundation.
We are an independent Kindergarten with our primary aim to serve the interests of the children. We help them discover the wonderful world of learning and becoming more and more independent through the freedom of choice in a Montessori classroom.
Since may 2009 we are an Official Privat Kindergarten recognised by the Kanton of Zurich BID.

We have new opening hours:
Monday - Tuesday - Thursday and Friday from 8:30 am – 15:00 pm
Wednesday 8:30 am – 12:00pm
Latest Time to bring your child to Kindergarten is 09:00am, as set by the new Kindergarten law of Kanton Zürich.
